petehchiae rash around eyes

My 19 m old has been coughing the last few nights quite excessively which is also making her strain & then vomit-then today i noticed what look like a petehchiae rash under her eyes-does anyone know if this could be just from straining whilst coughing or something more serious? I plan on taking her to doctors tomorrow as cant get her in today but i would like to put my mind at ease

My DD used to get this after any vomiting, it's quite common apparently. She still gets it now as she tends to vomit on the first day of her period.

Coughing can cause it as well as vomitting, particularly round the eyes. Also viruses can cause it. Ds gets it quite a bit.

I get it when I cry Also had it after giving birth to ds due to 2 hours of pushing!

It is very common with straining from vomiting and coughing. Provided there is no fever, drowsiness or other worrying symptoms it is OK.

I also had this with childbirth plus blood vessels in my EYES ruptured too. I looked like a vampire with blood red eyes
