Hello, dd 20m has had tum bag since sunday. On sun was off food and a bit glum, mon vomited everytime she ate/drunk, Tues the same but she is sleeping all the time. She has eaten little bits today and has not been sick but she is still very sleepy. She doesnt seem dehydrated and has had wet nappies so I guess its just part of the recovery process? Just feel a bit helpless as she can't tell me how she feels and has slept for most of the day. Wakes up, has a nibble of toast and some water, then crashes out again. Also any tips for best food to give her while she is recovering. Thanks so much x

Sad hope she is better soon, have u taken her temp? As long as she is getting plenty of fluids and is responsive when awake I wouldnt worry too much, sounds like a flu type bug running its course. Be one of many to come!! Food wise, small and often would b best. I used to give my DD some soup with bread to increase fluids and was easy to eat. But each child is different, has your DC got a favourite meal? Perhaps cook it to tempt them? Xx

Thank you MML. temp is normal and she is responsive in a lethargic sort of way, bless her. Every food is usually her fave, ha ha, but I will try her with some soup, thanks for that, for some reason I never think of soup.

Vomiting always takes it out of my 2 for a couple of days. I normally give them mashed up bananas with a little bit of sugar, good for replacing potassium, and dry toast and stewed apples will settle her stomach. Also try ice lollies,as it is a good way of getting fluid in. Hope she's better soon
