Hi, my dd came into contact with someone who day after came out in chicken pox, (last Tues). Problem is due to go abroad in two weeks. If the dreaded pox appear before then then we'll have to cancel unless my some miracle they come and scab over in record time! How long do they take after exposure to show, I know 10-21 days but anyone had any real experience please? Also what if we go and she gets them day after we arrive which is within 21 day window? Then she'd be contagious on plane but we wouldn't have known! Horrible situation as can't plan anythin cos don't know if and when she'll get them. Sure insurance wouldn't pay out on a might get them basis! Also what are chances she hasn't got them? Thanks for any advice.

14 days on the dot from exposure to first spot with both of mine. Fingers crossed for you!

16 days between DS1 breaking out and DS2 breaking out - I'm not sure if close contact makes a difference.
