DS (4yo) had a fall and is now misbehaving.

DS, who is 4yo, had a nasty fall last week which meant a hospital trip and stitches. It was all pretty traumatic and immediately afterwards he was very clingy, lost his appetite and slept a lot. He is now however completely wild, pushing every boundary and being an awful lost more physical than before. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it a normal (or at least not unheard of) side effect of an accident? Has anyone experienced similar behaviour? Will my sweet little boy calm down again or am I stuck with a whirlwind in perpetual motion?

TIA.

Sorry if this is obvious Blush but did he hit his head?

He landed on his face :( but he wasn't knocked out and there were no signs of concussion. I was just wondering if it was a shock type reaction? The stitching process was not fun...

It could be a shock type reaction.

I only asked because I had mild concussion (I hit my head and also my nose which I managed to shatter) and was so bad mooded for a couple of weeks. I was vile and very much unlike myself. [bliush]

Poor DS. I wish him better but do take him to the GP if he remains not quite himself. I always think it's better safe than sorry.

I'll ask at the doctor's tomorrow when some of the stitches come out. And that will be fun. Not
