Sneezing

We seem to tell our dd (4) a lot to cover her nose/mouth when she sneezes but does she actually know she is going to or is it a surprise? When do you learn to recognise the feeling?

I'd say by the age of four she realises the feeling of about to sneeze (although she may only realise just as it's about to happen or indeed as it is happening). Why don't you encourage hand over mouth briefly even if the sneeze has already happened so she gets used to the etiquette and it becomes a habit.
