my ds is 18 months he's on fortini 2x day.
He's got severe reflux.
I've noticed that after his feeds ( just with this) his tummy really swells. Both uper and lower.
Has anyone has this experience? Any know why?

Thanks

hello,

My daughter was misdiagnosed with reflux as a baby, she actually has eosinophilic eosophagitis , which is a type of allergy.

It can only be diagnosed by taking a biopsy of the eosophagus. She gets huge tummy distention when she eats a food she is intolerant of.
can you ask your dietician ( if thats who prescribed the fortini what they think?) It may just be one ingredient in it.

hope things look up for you soon xx

They have taken biopsy and that's fine.
Ph probe has shown he has got severe reflux. I'm just so lost atm.
Thank you

So glad the biopsy was fine, what meds is he on?

maybe ask to try an alternative to fortini, just want to offer you some hugs

xx

Hes on omeperzole 25mg a day. I've stopped the domperidone as it's doing nothing and it's banned in America. I know we not there but if it's doing no good no point using it.
He's being fed by syringe into his mouth.
He's still being sick.
And waking at night :(
Thank you hugs are accepted :)
(hug)

Hope you get some answers and help soon, there are other things they can do to help other than medication, keep pestering the doctors, dietician whoever until they help more.

He's got appointment on Thursday and Friday.
On Tuesday he's getting weighed.
I've managed to get other foods down him via syringe.
He clearly doesn't like eating himself. He will eat but only tiny bits
Thanks for your support x
