Banana flavour paracetamol suspension?

Anyone know if such a thing exists? Dd has always hated any brand of infant paracetamol, spitting it out in a fury. However, she is on a course of antibiotics atm and takes that perfectly happily. It's the bright yellow, banana flavour Amoxicillin.

Was wondering if it's possible to get paracetamol (or ibuprofen for that matter, she no keener on kid's nurofen) in the same flavour.

Or if anyone also has a calpol refuser but has found a brand that they take without too much hassle, would be interested to hear about it.

She is 1btw.

Mix her calpol with banana smoothie? or banana yoghurt?

Sorry, I've never heard of any. Mine both hated calpol and ibuprofen (and loved banana antibiotics), but we decided just to stick with it as we were told the only other option was suppositories. Nice! Not much fun getting them to take it (especially in the middle of the night), had to hold their hands out of the way and do it by syringe in the side of their mouth, but after a bit they seemed to put up with it.

OMDB - good point, although don't always have them in when they need meds unexpectedly. Also, what with her fondness for a bit of a midnight milk feast, she'd probably start to expect a 3 course meal if I went down that route.

Albert - ah, we use the same method. I read somewhere (what do I mean 'somewhere', on here without a doubt) that if you blow gently in their face, it triggers a reflex action to swallow as you depress the syringe. This was a revelation the first time we tried it, may work for yours if you haven't already tried? Although, she got wise to it and it doesn't work anymore - boo hiss wipes spat out Calpol from eye

Oh well, will plug on with what we have, thanks for posting.

Disprol make banana flavoured paracetamol. I've bought it in Superdrugs and Morrisons in the past.

thanks Panache, will have a look next time I'm in Superdrug.
