Low ferratin levels and children's vitamins... Is spatone safe age 4?

DD is being investigated for milk intolerance but with digestive symptoms.
She has low ferratin levels which is her body iron reserve. I suspect (purely mother instinct, nothing more!) that her body ejects food waste too rapidly to absorb all nutrients. We have an excellent balanced diet.

I thought I would just get some kids multi vits but upon reading them, none contain iron!

Does anyone know if Spatone is safe for children or is there something else on market?

On the SpaTone packet, I'm sure it says that it is perfectly fine to give to children and toddlers.
I can't see how it would cause any damage, its all natural and its simply mineral water. IME is much nicer on the body than any other iron supplements.

Ooh just googled it:

I think it's ok to give, but whether a child would be willing to swallow it is another matter. Personally I think it tastes foul.

ProcrastinateWildly Have you tried it in fruit juice of some kind?
I agree it is disgusting - the first time I took it, I tried it 'straight' and was wretching! But then I hate that metallicy taste anyway, coins/blood etc.
Have to say that in a big glass or fruit juice or fruit smoothie, I honestly cannot taste it!
My DD's see fruit juice/smoothie as a treat, so would be happy to gulp it down - just hope your DD is the same maydaychild :)

I really didn't think it would disguise the taste, but thanks, will try that Smile
