small bony lump behind the ear

I have just noticed a small bony lump behind mt DD2 s ear . She says it hurts . Its not like a spot or cyst as its quite hard and white.

Any ideas on what this could be ?

how big? is it attached to her head or in/under the skin? Can you move it about?

It could be a gland. is she poorly at the moment? I had one come up when I had an ear infection.

Thank you -its high up on the ear so i dont think its a gland , you cant move it. its very strange ! It look like a hard white spot.
