Bad toddler breath

Hello all,

My 18mo DS has teethed really badly - lots of discomfort! When his first molars came through he had eruption cysts on every one. Then again with his fourth incisor.

This last eruption cyst burst last night as he chewed on his tooth brush. After that, I started noticing that he has bad breath -quite sweet smelling.

He has no temperature, he's no grumpier than he normally is when he teethes, he is drinking masses of water but he is running around like a loon most of the time. He doesn't eat sweets other than a bit of white choccie periodically, he rarely has anything other than milk (breast and formula) and water.

We (try to) brush his teeth twice a day and he often chews on one of those silicone chewy tooth brushes.

He has never slept through and stil bf at night when really uncomfy with his teeth.

Any ideas any one?

Thanks!!
