There's a salt cave in Tunbridge Wells, near where I live. Try posting this query in Mumsnet Local: Tunbridge Wells, to see if anyone there has tried it? Link here to review by local mum

Hi. I have been to the Saltcaves at Tunbridge Wells. I developed asthma about 18 months ago (after getting a puppy !!). It was very relaxing and although it didn't seem to help me personally (i was hoping that it would help me to come off my inhaler) I spoke to many people there who swore by it. I think that you are supposed to have about ten sessions quite close together to really benefit and to be fair I didn't manage to do that. I have just started having Bowen Therapy now which was recommended to me. I have only had one session so I really can't say if it works or not but the therapist that I am going to said that he has had loads of success with children and I believe that he is in the middle of a big research programme for asthma in children. The web-site is www.relieve-childhood-asthma.com and bowen-for-asthma.com. I hope that helps.

Have you thought about a Salt pipe? One of my DDs has asthma and we bought a salt pipe from www.thesaltpipe.co.uk and would recommend it.

There are also salt lamps for their bedrooms. Either small ones with a tea light deep inside or plug in ones.
