Hi, I'm Alex, when I was born I was born with out my right arm. My mother struggled, firstly with the shock of the disability and then with so many worries for my future.

She genuinely believed that I wouldn't be able to preform the simplest of tasks like cooking, tying shoe laces, opening a bag of crisps, let alone getting a job or finding love.

Very quickly she realised that her fears were unfounded and I was anything but unable and she spent more time trying to get me out of trees!! (I was a right bugger for climbing!) lol

I'm much older now but after discussing her experience and the lack of reassurance and information we have decided that I am going to set up a web site in order to reassure, give tips and advice and so on.

What I really need to know is, If it were you and your child...what would you want to know? What would help?

No matter how silly you think it is, it may help someone else. Please send your suggestions to the e-mail address below.

Many thanks for your help!

Alex.
