After 4 consecutive illnesses

My DD is 3. After 3 bouts of tonsillitis a sickness bug and scarlett fever oh and and 4 does of Penicillin she is slowly getting back to normal and this week has managed 2 full days at nursery. However left with no appetite at all and disturbed sleep caused by mouth breathing and snoring!

At my wits end to try and build her up ( administering Minadex twice a day) and trying anything that I think she will eat! Also worried that enraged tonsils are causing the mouth breathing and snoring.

Anyone in the same boat at any point got any advice about building up her strength nd dealing with the snoring?

Thanks a lot

Mrs M

You need to take her back to the GP and ask for her to be seen by an ENT. It's possible that her adenoids are enlarged, mouth breathing is a sign of this. If her tonsils are also enlarged then she could be suffering from sleep apnea, which will weaken her immune system.

Hope she's on the mend quickly. Smile
