tetanus jab side effects? (feeling worried)

my dd had a tetanus jab today. she is feeling a little unwelland looks pale. I am now worried about side effects.

If you were going to experience really serious side effects, does anyone know how soon they would occur?

Would an extreme reaction happen straight away, or might it develop over time?

TIA

Here is some info from the NHS website. How old is she?

noonar · 28/02/2012 17:52

she is 7. thanks for the link. i am just feeling anxious and want to know if the 1 in a million extreme reactions occur straight away or develop slowly. for example, you would expect allergy to occur straight away, no?

did she have the tetanus jab becuase of injury?

she may be feelign delayed shock if so.

I'm not sure. You know her best and if you're worried I would take her to OOH or even just phone them for advice. They might be able to put your mind at ease.

no injury, just later than usual course of jabs. she does get pale and faint when she cuts herself though, and did have to lie down as she felt faint. 2.5 hours later, she's still queasy.

I had a tetanus jab last july (without being ill, it was a condition of volunteer dog walking). It was horrid! the injection itself wasn't painful, but my arm hurt afterwards and I couldn't sleep on that side for over two weeks as my arm still hurt. I'm not a wimp (had three babies with no drugs!) but this really was sore :(

Hope your dd is feeling much better soon

i am very anxious about jabs in general, which is why my dc had none as babies. thanks for your posts.
