Worried about Doc finding deformatie in DD!!!!HELP....

I have been taking DD to Docs every 6 to 8 weeks with a horrid cold virus which quickly developes into a sinus infection (DD is nearly 4)
She has had 3 different types of antibiotic to get rid of it, which a few days after finishing course she has it again.....which now the Doc is being funny with me about DD loosing weight. I have told Docs this for over 6 months and they haven't done a thing. Doc was very harsh with me over it, how can a child eat when they can't breathe properly.
She has now discovered DD has a Depressed Sternum.....and sent her straight for an Xray, without explaining anything. I thought it was to make sure her chest was clear, but nurse in Xray said no it was for her depressed sternum. I am now worried what this means, as looked on internet.....don't know if I can wait another 2 weeks to see Docs

Calm down. If the sinusitis is due to a virus, antibiotics won't help.
FWIW, my DD has a shocker of an appetite, she hasn't lost weight though while being unable to breathe so that sounds odd to me.
I think you'll have to wait the two weeks and be very pleased that your GP is bothered/observant enough to send you for more investigations.
Step away from Dr Google. No good can ever come of it.

This has been going on since march 2011 and no one seems bothered about it at the Docs! No one else has picked up on this weird indent in her chest either. Her behavior has changed, she is peeing and pooping all over the place and doesn't want to do anything other than lie about and watch the telly. And the Doctor actually had the cheek of accusing me of neglecting her with regards to eating.
If they could get this virus/infection to clear it would help her eating totally!

I'm sure that if you've been taking your dd to the drs every couple of months they just want to get to the bottom of the problem. I'm sure no-one is accusing you of abusing her!

Being anxious about your child's Heath is the worst thing as a parent and it does feel as if your the onto one that cares. Maybe the dr thought you were being a bit neurotic and has only just actually paid attention to what you are saying?

I've got no idea what a depressed sternum could be so can't help there but sometimes these bugs do go on and on and on and on :(

Hope your dd feels better soon and you manage to calm down a bit ( that sounds a lot more patronising that its meant to be, I know how awful worrying about your child is :()

I just hate having a sick child to look after all the time, when I'm not in the best health either. Her behavior is really bad at the moment too, which I think is because she's poorly.
I just worry about her being 11kg at aged nearly 4, the docs wouldn't listen to me for months that she was loosing weight and now it's supposedly my fault for not telling them so AND SUPPOSEDLY NOT FEEDING HER! When I did tell them numerous times, if that's not accusing me of neglect I don't know what is. She even had the nerve to say that it was borderline neglect and that I need to take her in to be checked with her weekly!!!

Has she been checked for food allergy/intolerance?
