Croup - can he cough all night?

Ds2 aged 5 has croup. DH done steamy bathroom, now with window open. His breathing is good, but he's knackered from the coughing, can he cough all night and still be OK?

He has Vicks on his chest too.

I'm not sure tbh, my only experience of croup is having it myself as a child, but did'nt want to leave you unanswered. Steaming works though, make sure you have enough hot water in case you need to do it in the night again.

The main worry is if he starts to go blue around the mouth.

They recomend wrapping them up and taking them outside no rather than the steamy rooms.
