Sorry, another nit question. DC had nits a couple of weeks ago, I couldn't see anything that was egg like but found about 25 adults when treating with Lyclear (a smother the buggers treatment) and after 7 days treated again but couldn't see any. The scratching stopped immediately after the first treatment. I have been checking again another 3 days on and all I can see are some tiny white flat bits the hair, about 1.5mm, about a dozen of them. I think I'm being paranoid now, is this just dandruff! I can only see them in really good light, if they were eggs would it be obvious to me?

Sorry, of course the nit is the egg - I mean 'louse egg'.

Are the white bits old egg cases?

Agree with bird - the key thing about nit eggs is that you can't pull them off unless you literally scrape your nails down the hair shaft. If it's not firmly glued on then it's probably just dandruff.

Well yes I did have to scrape them out which made me think they might be eggs but they are completely flat and definitely white not remotely brown.
