2 year old hardly eats

Hello All,

I have a two year old son who has been plagued with ill health for what seems like the best part of a year. Not a month goes by without him getting an awful cold, which then goes to his chest and as a result he stops eating. He is currently overcoming a chest infection which has really knocked the stuffing out of him and I am extemely worried about just how thin he has become.

He's still on antibiotics and just seems totally disinterested in any food I try to give him and because he's hardly eating, he is very weak and definitely lacking in his usual energy.

I just wondered if anyone had some advice they could give, I'll try absolutely anything.

Many thanks,

Kate

Poor you. I looked at this because i also have a 2 year old with poor appetite, but to be honest it does sound different in your case. My dd always looks the pucture of health. Id say if oure worried about him being very thin, id call he health visitor and get him weighed and looked at and id probably take him to the doctors too.
My dd also suffers constipation and I know that affects her appetite, maybe yours has constipation too?
