DD (3) has had d&v for 4 days - normal?

DD1 started vomiting on Monday night and through to the morning. She had diarhhoea when she woke. She was ok for the rest of the day, fine on Tuesday night and then started vomiting again on Wednesday night, woke with diarhhoea on Thursday morning.

She vomited yesterday, was fine last night and then has got both vomiting and diarhhoea again now.

Sorry that is such a waffly way to explain it.It just seems strange to me that she's been sick for so long.

We took her to the GP yesterday and they said its a virus and gave her some electrolade.

Is it normal for d&v for so long & for it to come and go? Shes hardly eating anything.

My baby had it recently and was sick one evening then fine until the next afternoon when she was sick again and had diarrhoea, so it can come and go.

I think rotovirus goes on that long, look it up on the nhs website.
