Hi.
This has probably been done before but when would you take dc to the doctors with a cough?
Ds is 6 and has had horrible tight cough for over a month.
Concerned because it just doesnt seem to be easing off and he screamed in pain tonight, holding the back of his head whilst coughing.
If i take him to the doctors are we just goin to be sent home within two minutes?
Hes on a preventer and reliever inhaler btw.
Please help

Over a month? Go to a Dr. Even if they do nothing it will reassure you.

To be coughing for over a month and to be in so much pain seems a very good reason to go and see your GP. Can he eat and drink or is that also very painful? Does he have fever?

griffalo2 · 15/02/2012 22:18

Hes eating and drinking fine.hes not had a fever.just seems to get on with it during the day so ive not been too concerned.
Any idea what it could be?

Virus? Some are taking 8 weeks to shift.
A change with his inhaler meds?
