We think he has an injury in his calf muscle (gastronemius?). This has been going on now for four weeks, with no improvement. He is still in pain and limping. The only investigation he has had is a manual examination and he is on ibuprofen - no other treatment.

Can anybody recommend a London consultant who give a second opinion him. We have got medical insurance.

Have you tried a local physiotherapist?

MrsDenning · 09/02/2012 10:29

No. Before doing that I want a view on what is wrong - could be something else? The medics we have seen have not recommneded physio.

Is the pain definitely in his calf, not higher up in the leg or hip?
