Pink circles under the eyes ??

DS (8 months) has had a horrible cold for almost 2 weeks now, terrible coughing and snot while also teething (top 2 teeth look like they are about to burst through, they are very swollen).

Anyway, he's not sleeping great at night but does seem to be making up for it at nap time (2 x 2.5 hours or so) but he has terrible pink bags under his eyes. Is this just because of the cold and disturbed night sleep?

Might be the start of conjunctivitus, both mine wipe snot into their eyes when they have a cold (nice) and it brings it on.
