When did your baby 'grow out' of reflux? (if at all )

The doc says my baby boy will grow out of his reflux. At first they said when he is about. 8 months. Now he is 9 months he still has it.
Thankfully he is not underweight and remaining in the 50th per centile.
He still gets it though , and at night time or nap time is the scariest when he is gagging.

Sorry to hear your lo has reflux. My ds had it. I can't remember exactly when he grew out of it but it started improving as he ate more solids. But he was often sick whilst eating especially if he didn't chew things well - he seems to ave quite a high gag reflex if that makes sense. He's 2.5 now and he doesn't have reflux but he's quite often sick. Maybe a few times a month. Often if he drinks a whole carton of juice quickly or if he's a bit under the weather then he pukes! Lovely! So I suspect he's just always going to be a bit of a pukey kid. Very annoying if he does it at nursery and they send him home! Glad your lo is putting on weight, my ds has always been a healthy size. Hope he improves soon x

iirc its when they eat more solids and spend more time upright - sitting standing walking rather than lying - so hopefully won't be too much longer now for you

DS1 - 8 months ish.
DS2 - 18-20 months. Sorry.

My consultant said lots grow out of it when they start sitting up and eating more solids than milk (i.e. DS1), the rest when they are walking (DS2).

Here's hoping yours is an early walker.

When she started walking, so it started tailing off at 13 months and had pretty much stopped by 18 months.
