www.petitionbuzz/bogstandard
"There are no adequate regulations covering school toilets. Sign this petition to ask the government to provide better laws to ensure children aren't stuck with dirty, smelly and unhygienic toilets at school.
Regulations are in place to ensure toilets used by school staff meet proper standards but these don't extend to toilets used by pupils. Why are children treated as second-class citizens?"

(not saying that staff toilets always meet these standards incidentally but this shouldnt detract from the need for kids to have hygenic conditions)

Is this for all school toilets or just senior school? My wee ones school toilets are always very clean! Wondering if they suddenly get awful in big school!

It is for all schools. Hate to say it but I think you are one of the lucky ones. Our school is a fantastic school educationally and pastorally but I have seen some very grim sights even in our loos. From what Ive heard secondary school somehow gets worse. I just think that if shopping centres etc have a board up saying these facilities have been checked every hour etc etc then why should our little ones have to use grim facilities that are blocked. overflowing, no loo role, no soap etc. I know loads of kids (from different schools) who wont use toilets at school. No wonder norovirus is rife every year.
