Ds1 has had a bit of a cough. Nothing too bad, just coughing but still his usual self.

He wasn't right this morning, said his throat was hurting and he was coughing pretty badly. So I've kept him off school.

He's just asked to go to bed and he is really really hot. He's not himself at all.

He's had calpol and ibuprofen today. I gave more calpol just now as he was due some.

I'm in 2 minds about ringing to try and get him seen by the GP. If nothing hurts then will they find anything wrong with him?

I'm hoping he'll wake up and be feeling much better.

Meant to add his temp is 37.8 so not high.

Poor little lad. Keep calpolling and ibuprofenning him. And giving him water/fluids. lukewarm sponge bath also good if medicine doesn't cool him down. If you're really worried try nhs direct if you're in the uk. I've always found them brilliant on whether to call gp, go to A&E or wait it out. Hope he's better soon. There's some nasty lurgies going round at the moment- I'm home with one myself!

Thanks.

He's just got up from his sleep and wants to play and is starving so now tucking into some dinner. I'm going to keep a close eye on him tonight but fingers crossed he's better now.
