My LG was also breast and bottle fed. At exactly two weeks, my LG suddently started screaming from about 5.30 in the afternoon. Mad dash to the hospital, (after several phone calls to local GP - really unhelpful!), to be found by the doctor asleep nesxt to my very quiet daughter. It was 2:30 in the morning. This was the start of her colic and silent reflux.

From what you have described it sounds more like trapped wind then colic - the screaming is something you would not wish on your worst enemy and is the first thing I think every parent of a colic child begins with.

However my daughter did have the tight tummy and the kicking legs you described before the magic hour of colic, and still has this occasionaly. I put this down to trapped wind. A little baby massage and lots of burping helps.

If still not sure you could try a little calpol? (I think they can take it from 1 months), however it does not work with all babies.

Hi there,
