My 5 year old son has started making this strange noice which I can only describe has a snort followed by a hiccup. He started doing this about 3 weeks ago and is oblivious to it. What worries me is that I got called into the school yesterday and asked if I'd noticed it and although they agreed with me that he doesn't know when he's doing it they haven't offered me any suggestions as to why but obviously felt the need to inform me. I've google this and everything seems to suggest that it could be tourettes, adhd, ausism or something similar. My son doesn't seem to any other symptoms although he's does display some of the symptoms of ADHD but I wouldn't say he's hard to manage, he does lack concentration and has a short fuse but isn't this the case with all 5 year olds?. Has anyone got an suggestions why he might be doing this?
