Please help 2 1/2 y/o with dry cough

Please can I have any advise for my little girls cough. It is a dry cough (in conjucton with a cold/runny nose etc) but it is constant and I feel really sorry for her. She is having Calpol for the cold. The Pharmasist wont give anything at all.....I am dreading tonght too! Thankyou x

You can buy cough medicine for that age from boots and other places off the shelf

If its really constant then take her to the docs, they may think she needs an inhaler or steroids.

Ds has asthma, he's only once so far had a constant cough and needed steroid tablets. I do mean constant though - he couldn't talk, walk, eat, drink etc.

vicks vapour rub on her feet at bed time then put socks on... I heard this and thought "nah.." but at midnight thought.. well, why not and was amazed!!

Apparently something to do with the accupuncture/reflexology points on the feet (around the toes) connecting with the throat/chest..
