DS came home from school today very pale and quiet and, sure enough, was sick about half an hour later. He slept after that and was sick again at about 6, but then felt a big brighter. Watched some Roar after that and he's in our bed, asleep. Just sneaked out to post on here!

Have put some pampers bed mats under him, towels on the floor, extra sheet on top of bed sheet, but what else do you do if you think your dc will be sick inn the night??! Is there an wasy way to cover everything in the room Hmm?!

I try to cover important things with waterproof matress covers and cover everything with towels. I hope your washing machine'sw up to it!

Pop a bucket in there and listen out. Not much more you can do really other than brace yourself for a long night.

Hope he gets well soon.

Plastic decorators sheets?!

I was also always given a bowl beside me - made me less antsy about being sick IYSWIM!

Definitely a bucket and some extra towels.

Have you got any bicarbonate of soda in the house? That's good for throwing on top of soiled carpets etc (once the worst mess has been cleared up) with a towel on top then hoover it all up in the morning.

Hope he's better soon.

Forgot to say, he has the sick bowl too! Thanks for the bicarb tip. It's his first sick bug and he is not impressed Confused

Also - first when he came home today he said that his eyes really hurt, and they are a bit red - no idea why though, nothing had been poked in them, he hadn't been rubbing them - can't be related to the sick bug, can it???

Potty makes a good sick bowl when they no longer need it for other things!
