Calming remedy for children?

Is there anything that my 8yo DD could take to help with stress? I'm not saying I want to drug her and I'm not a believer in homeopathy, so something in the middle! Is there something natural that might help? Is Valerian suitable for children does anyone know? I am going to take her to the GP but am wondering in advance... I seem unable to help her in any other way.

Rescue Remedy?

That's just water though really, isn't it? Although maybe the placebo effect might help her anyway? That's a good idea, actually, thanks!

Not a remedy as such, but try this book.

It is a workbook based on CBT principles - you read it with your child and there are spaces for them to draw and write responses - it teaches strategies to deal with worries and anxiety.

That book looks great, I will order that. Thank you!

My Dd takes Rescue Remedy, Jan De Vries does a Childrens Remedy, they both have helped her in the past. She also has used the book that Himalaya linked too.

I would second the Jan De Vries Child soother, always works here
