Does anyone know what could be wrong with my 4 year old ds? Yesterday he was totally off his food, but seemed fine otherwise, then this morning complained of a sore tummy, vomited clear frothy fluid, and now is totally ravenous. Any ideas?

Does he have a cold ? Could be mucous or just stomach fluid. dd had a temperature and headache the other day, threw up and has been fine since, just one of those things.

Not a cold as such, but a bit of a cough. Seems fine now!

Yep, it's phlegmy stype stuff

Teach him to cough it up instead of sniffing it down

TMI?

I'll keep trying, but he just can't get the hang of it! Thanks all.

Don't let it worry you. It's perfectly 'normal' for children of all ages. The stomach doesn't tolerate mucous very well, it can't digest it therefore it comes back sometimes. It's far from unusual. Due to the floating ability of mucous it float on the top of everything else and so comes up 1st so that you don't see the food vomit. Hope this helps. Sadie
