There is a point to this. A lovely point - a baby you will all cherish. Am holding you and your family in my thoughts, and hope all goes well on Monday.

In my dd's class there is a little girl who has had surgery four times already for her heart defect ( forgotten which one it is!) she keeps up with her peers and enjoys life at school.

Hope all goes well on monday xx

Be strong Grandma, the whole family will need you. My baby girl was born with transposition of the great arteries, complete shock to us after her delivery and an uncomplicated pregnancy. After 2 surgeries and 2 weeks in hospital she was home and went from strength to strength. She is now a healthy and normal 10 yr old. The surgeons can perform miracles these days. I look back on those early days like some sort of bad dream. The help and support of my friends and family got us all through it. Had to leave my 2 yr old with my mum and sister who between them looked after him, kept visiting us in 3 different hospitals and kept all the other worries away from me so I could just concentrate on my baby.

Your daughter and soon-to-be grandson are lucky to have you - I don't know how anyone would get through this alone. I will be thinking of you all in the coming days and sending positive vibes your way. Please keep us posted if you have time but I know you'll be very very busy. x
