A rash which comes and goes?!?

DD (7) has had a rash primarily on her cheeks for the last two days but also on her chest and back. The wierd thing is, it comes and goes for no apparent reason! She is very well in herself, doesn't have a high temp', is eating and drinking normally. She hasn't been ill recently either. I was hoping for some words of wisdom please. Should I ring Out of Hours or be doing anything particular? Thank you

Sounds a bit like it might be slapped cheek. That can come and go - the rash on the body is lacey looking. If this then usually no action needed.

Thank you ever so much beautifulgirls, slapped cheek sounds very likely. How long does it usually take to clear? Will she be ok for school on Monday do you think?

once the rash comes out they are not infectious any longer so no need to stay off school if she is well in herself. If I recall the rash came and went for quite a while (2-3 weeks?) with my girls when they had it.
