Arghhhh!!! Going on week 3 now of someone in this house being sick!!
DD1 (3) started with a temp of 40 yesterday that didn't shift for 2 hours (given calpol and neurofen). Trip to a&e, full MOT, just a virus, alternate calpol and neurofen. So I'm doing that. BUT IT'S NOT WORKING!! Temp still hovering at 39, even after meds. Came down to 38 this morning then eventually to normal before spiking again. What do I do???? I know a trip to the dr will be a waste as she was given a full check in pediatric a&e by a consultant yesterday! I'm pulling my hair out, please help!!!

Are you giving her doses as per her weight or by the bottle guidelines?
If you are dosing her by the bottle recommendation she is possibly not getting enough. post her weight and Ill work out the dose for you

both of my dds have been given ibuprofen above BNF limits in consultation with paediatricians and pharmacists.

Not sure of her weight. I think she's 28lbs (last time I checked a couple months ago). DH taking her to GP.

I'm giving 5ml of each.

If she is going to GP anyway get them to check her weight and work out the best therapeutic dose (it is likely to be more than on the bottle)
Good luck
