Undigested food in nappies (sorry tmi!)

My 20 month old has had 4 big loose nappies today. The one I've just changed has her undigested lunch in it (beans - sorry tmi!)
This isn't a one off. She has these kinds of nappies quite often.
Other than this she seems well, she eats well.
I'm just worried that she's not absorbing what she should from her food. And I was wondering if there's a reason for it.

Thanks in advance.

What kind of food was it? some foods pass through without being digested properly. The skins of baked beans are like this.More info please op.

It was the full baked beans not just the skins. Also she only ate them at maybe 1 o'clock so they've gone through her system very quick haven't they?

Other foods include oranges, tomatoes and the skins of new/jacket potatoes. Oh and corn but then I would expect that to be undigested.

that always happens to mine before they get a bug, it just races through them. Try and stick to easy to digest food for the next few days and keep dairy to a minimum (makes the runs worse).

Its normal for veg skins to pass through, I wouldn't worry, It does sound completely normal even though it is a shock when you first see it.

The foods you mention are typical of this, as are carrots and peas too.

As she is still so young don't worry, she will get the hang of chewing properly and soon there wont be any more beany poos.

Raisins are like magic - they come out the other end as grapes :o

sorry to laugh. tis funny how quickly some fods come through and how slowly others. and how undigested some foods are. please don't worry. I think its pretty normal.

My kids had this when they were babies, to be fair the got their teeth, especially the grinding molars late, but once they were toilet trained etc. It was all more 'normal'
