Possible abdominal migraine?

Concerned re 8 year old DS

He was sent home from school on Tuesday with huge vomit massively sick twice

By the time we got home he was chatty looked well felt fine no temp no loose stool- just didnt seem viral.

He was fine Wed and Thurs no vomiting eating well.

Yesterday he felt queasy during the am but we were doing a big supermarket shop it was hot and busy

He ate lunch and tea -promptly threw them up in evening- again went pale says- I feel queasy -vomited then back to normal smiley chatty happy.

Just doesn't seem like a virus-I have googled -Iknow shouldn't have- abdominal migraine suggested-I have migraine-he is quite a sensitive boy.

I don't see point in contacting NHS 24 think they will say viral.

Anyone any experience of abdo migraine?

How is Ds now Moanin? DD age 10 has had lower back and lower abdominal pain 10 days seems to be getting worse, will have to take her to emergency GP on Wednesday - how did it work out for you over festivities? Hope it was just one of those things?

Had experience of this.
DS had very painful stomach cramps regularly around age 4-8.
So painful he took to his bed. Very unlike him. Anyway, no other symptoms really. Mentioned it to GP and had lots of tests to rule out various diagnosis. GP in the end decided he would either grow out of them, or develop full migraines later in life.
What you describe above doesn't fit with DS. He never threw up, but went off food till it passed ( around 24-72 hrs).
It was so painful for him it was heartbreaking. Just gave him calpol and rest.
He is now 9 (Y5) and last one came around 3 weeks ago, but prior to that had gone 13 months without one.
Hope your ds ok now. Good luck!
