About a month ago dd had a throat infection which went to her chest. She had antibiotics but even after a week of them she seemed ill and had nasty cough. We went back to doc who said throat a little red but vastly improved and cheat clear and to give it time. Her temp was back to normal by then (from a high of 39.2).

But she's not stopped coughing. She has a cold now which is making it worse but the cough has been ongoing since the infection. No temp but it does bother her. Not a barky cough like croup and when not being snotty coughy and miserable she is fine and eating well.

Question is should we go back to doc. Coughing for a month not right is it?

Well, my DD is 18 months old and has had a cough for about - oo - 18 months! I have been back to the doctor 3 times and all 3 times she has said that it is nothing to worry about and that she is just having upper respiriroty viral infections, one after another, and it is a good thing that she is building up her immune system. However my mother is convinced there is something more going on. The concern is she might have asthma but the doctor doesn't think so (I did raise it).

That is my experience and of course you must always go with medical advice over what I write, but in my experience babies cough, and if you are worried take her to your GP.
