DS is 2.5yrs and has been given Clarithomycin this morning for tonsillitis, (had cough for over a week and sick last night). I have given him one dose and he was sick about an hour and a half later. Should he have absorbed the antibiotics by then or will he have thrown them up?

I didn't know that vomiting occured with tonsillitis. Does anyone know how long it tends to go on?

Clarithromycin is horrible stuff. It could be that making him sick thought tonsilkitis makes me feel sick tbh.

Yes, I have seen that it is a side effect although he was being sick before he started taking it so I doubt it is the reason.

Oh I see. That wasn't how your OP read.

My little one used to suffer with tonsillitis quiet a bit and vomiting was always a part of it , what used to keep it at bay with her was soft foods and small mouthfuls, it seemed if anything touched off them too much on the way down she would gag straight away and then be sick. It is horrible when they are unwell. Hope your ds is feeling better soon xxx
