3 year old groin pain

Anyone have any experience of sudden onset groin pain in a lo? My DS (3yo) seemed to be in a lot of pain last night and said it was his groin area and a bit in his tummy. He was awake and upset for a few hours and restless all night long.

He currently has another really bad cold/virus, seems to be another one on top of the other one which has made him poorly for most of the last 6 weeks and the lymph nodes in his neck are swollen again. Low grade temp.

Anyone with any experience/thoughts on this?

TIA

Someone told me once that they have glands in their tummy area, that is why they always seem to say their tummy hurts when they are coming down with something, be it a cold or virus, etc. I'm not sure if this is accurate, but reading your post just reminded me

I am sure, like Poptart says, that it will be lymph nodes up in the abdomen and groin area because of the cold/virus. Pain in my tummy is a regular occurrence with a cold, too.

What I would say, though, is that if the pain persists into early next week, I'd call the doctor. But that kind of pain is not unusual, afaik.
