Hi i need some advice as a new mum and oversees

i had a friend over from uk last week mon-thursday as i live in germany .
her little girl aged 4 then has gone onto develop Chicken pox on saturday lunchtime.

i just would like some advice for my 10weeks old baby she is breast fed and so far seems fine. we have stayed away from all friends with babies and pregnant friends but wanted to know how long to stay away. just incase

i wanted to go to see my team at my office tomorrow so 7 days after we saw my friends 4 year old but am not sure if its a good idea.

Should i wait another week before contacting the outside world again.... any recommendations?

thanks

tbh you could be wairting for another 2 weeks as the incubation is between 10 and 21 days. Your friends's dd may just have been contagious, so it is by no means definite that your baby was exposed, but you are only about to enter the phase when your dd may develop it. Tomorrow should be fine.

I think I'd stay away from newborns and pregnant women who haven't had chickenpox maybe but otherwise continue life as normal.
