Ezcema and vaccinations

I took my DD (6 mo) to the doc yesterday for a vaccination (we are overseas so it is an equivalent of the UK vaccinations but not exactly the same). She has developed really bad eczema on her neck - I had it when I was young too. The Dr said she wouldn't give the vaccination til the eczema had gone - does that sound right? It didn't occur to me that it might impact her vaccination. Can anyone explain it to me?

Any inflamation indicates her immune system isn't at full strength and it will be trying to fight off the inflamation iyswim.

Completely normal.

I was refused the flu jab recently as I was getting over a cold.

Difficult with eczema as it could be inflamed long term. have you got another appointment for a week or so to go back and see if it has gone down a bit?
