We've had it here for about three weeks (so far) - a week approx of proper ill and then just never ending cough and grottiness. My nine year old shook it a little quicker but the six year old seems to be integrating it into a season long "cold" (though neither of them had nasal symptoms so no, not a cold exactly)

We are in Northants too and dd2 has had the same, I took her to the gp after 5 days and she had developed a chest infection, she ended up missing 8 days of school. My other two seem to have avoided the worst of it though.

We have been to docs today, she said loads of this about and its like croup.
Its awful to hear my dd coughing so bad. Doc said it could take a while to clear.

My two have it and we're in France. GP said it's a bad year for things like this because of the frequent temperature changes and the damp weather.

We have it too (were down south), dd1 is on day 5 and i'm taking her to the gp today as i'm worried she may have a chest infection, dd2 had it last week and still has the cough but ok in herself.
