Does this sound like chicken pox?

Ds, 26 months, has a single red spot on his arm. It does remind me of a cold sore or small burn. He's had a nasty cold, but not been particularly ill. And I haven't noticed a fever. Been googling and thought the chicken pox pictures looked most likely, but obviously would be a really mild case.

when did the spot appear? and does it have a blister in the middle?

If it only appeared today, then he should have some more by tomorrow if its chicken pox. If its just an isolated spot then its less likely (but not impossible).

It's hard to get him to stay still to get a good look, but can't see a blister really. It appeared yesterday. And he isn't itching it.

Hmm, sounds unlikely then....

Maybe its just a spot if he's run down with a cold!

if you first saw it yesterday more spots would have appeared by now if it was CP.

how about impitigo ?

Just googled impetigo. Could be. Although would be in an unusual location.

Ds had one tiny spot for 2 days, on day 3 he got lots more. He then got A LOT of spots and a high fever.

Only time will tell, as annoying as that is!

does it have yellow watery stuff in the middle like a blister?

No, it's not really a blister. More like a cold sore. So perhaps not CP?

don't think so, think there would be more spots by now with cp
