Any ideas what could be wrong with DS?

He was perfectly fine until about midday yesterday when he suddenly said he felt tired and had developed a high temp. This came down with both calpol and ibuprophen. once the drugs wear off then the temp returns. He says he just feels poorly. No other signs other than the temp that anything is wrong. i.e no rash, cough, cold, tummy upset, just nothing.

He is eating and drinking when the temp is brought down. He is 3.

Any ideas?

Virus.

No spots? That's how ds started with chickenpox but he did have oone solitary spot!

Isn't complaining of pain when he wees or anything?

Probably non specific viral illness or brewing something spotty!

Just continue with lots of fluids, calpol and brufen. If its not settled after 3 days or he develops any other specific symptoms take him to the GP.

My checklist is this

Breathing
circulation : eg. fever, skin colour
meningitis
throat
ear
cough
wee

if these are all checking out OK I don't tend to worry too much.
