Ds 7 has a temp and complaining of leg pain, eyes are hurting etc

I cannot find a rash and the temp does seem to come down with calpol so it seems under control. But he was screaming in pain yesterday that his legs were hurting and he couldn't walk down the stairs. He looks really pale and wiped out although the calpol does give him a boast so is masking the illness. He actually slept in til 10.45 today which is not like my son ever!!!! But was complaining of belly ache when he first work up. Do you think this could be flu?

Sounds like a flu. But perhaps better to call a doctor to check about the leg pain.

Could be flu or could be an infection in his joints. Tummy pain could be because of swollen glands.

Get him checked out - whilst not likely these could be symptoms of meningitis. There does not have to be a rash for this disease, and actually if there is then this is when things have become pretty serious. Don't feel bad getting him checked just because it is a Sunday.
