Winter vomiting virus - can it be transmitted before symptoms show?

DC2 has this virus, sick around 10 times, currently asleep. DC1 was in the same room when DC2 was sick.

Problem is, not sure what to to with DC1 who appears fine - send to school? send to afterschool activity? If he has picked up the germ from DC2, can he pass it on to other children if he has not yet shown any symptoms? DC2 got it from school I think, same school as DC1.

as long as you make sure their hands are washed well - perhaps alcohol wash too - should be fine. It's not in the air. wipe door handles with antibacterial stuff to stop germs spreading.

I'm hoping to stop dtds catching dd1's sickness bug. dd1 is 3 but twins are 12weeks and cannot afford to lose weight! fingers crossed.

Bleurgh we are all suffering D&V at the moment. Can only re-iterate advice above. Dd2, dd3, me and DP have it. Dd1 is lurgy free but she is Teflon coated.
