Help! Massive growth spurt in my 3yr old!

My dd was 7lbs baby and grew steadily about 50th percentile on the baby record growth chart (not that they say much.) She reached 3yrs and zoomed in height and weight. She looks like a 4 or even 5yr old. Dad is tall and I am average. I've taken her to the drs as her tummy seems quite extended but it is not painful. I'm struggling to find clothes that fit as the older size styles are so grown up and she is only 3.4yrs. Most people we meet comment on how tall/big she is and use phrases like, 'she's huge'.dd was trying on the dressing up clothes at playgroup and she was upset 'cos a lady said she was too big for those. She is not overweight for her height and I'm sure it will alll even out in the end. Has anyone else gone through this or suggest anywhere to find clothes for taller girls? Many thanks.

My 2.5yo is in 4/5 clothes because of height and weight, we roll up pants legs and sleeves A LOT. The other thing we do is find 'neutral' boys pants (as the waist/bottom is an issue for us because we're still in nappies so need roominess for the bottom and dd has rather wide hips for a wee thing too).
The other thing that you can do..dresses and skirts. They are our best friends in this house as it just needs to be the right size in the torso and the rest fits. Dd is stil young enough that I let them go a little short...I'm always pairing them with tights and now also leggings in the cooler weather.

Good luck I know it's tough!

DS is like this..age 4 in 7/8 clothes which are getting a bit small now. He is like a weed thought. Tall and skinny. He grows massively and is a head and shoulders height above most of his classmates. Before he grows he eats like a demon for weeks, gets a pudgy tummy, then boom! Grows two inches(on average every spurt) in a month. Thankfully he doesn't get growing pains anymore. Which he did at 2-3. Dd is 2 and tall also. Their donor was 6ft 5 inches though, so it's all relative.

Sorry I can't help re girls clothes though. We found that length was always good but he has such a skinny waist and no bum!trousers always fall down. We always go for adjustable waits though. All watch with interest as dd is heading this way!

Thanks for writing! Its great to know there are others out there who are in the same boat. I've found that the tights in Pumpkin Patch are very long so just hunting out skirts/ dressses now!! Maybe I should get the sewing machine out!!!
