Hi all,

Was just after some advice, my LO is 7months old and has had a virus this past week, a rash came up and went to the Doctor and was told it was a viral rash, which went down within days. However now another rash has appeared which is very different to her viral rash and I'm a bit worried its Chickenpox, but she's only got a few spots on her face and torso, its much more worse on her legs and arms. I've had a look on the Internet and most websites say that the spots appear on face/torso first.

Has anyone's LO had chickenpox before or can anyone give some advice?

Thanks x

hard one not seeing the spots...

if there is any doubt in your mind I'd say bring her into the GP (but call ahead for appt -it's usually with a nurse- and say you think it is chickenpox) You're usually seen very quickly because they don't want you hanging abt with a contagious child.

The spots on chickenpox usually are quite obviously that after a few hours - they come up and blister, then the blister pops. If you are still not sure tomorrow then still worth calling the doctors surgery for some advice at least.
