Warts - question about removal/'mother wart'

Having searched high and low for remedies on the internet, I have successfully treated DDs wart with apple cider vinegar, of all things. Didn't take long, and although a bit smelly, preferable to the acid stuff we got from the chemist.

However, from reading other threads I was of the understanding that once you've removed the 'mother wart', any others would disappear by themselves. New warts seem to have appeared on DD's other thumb. I'm wondering if I should start treating them with the vinegar too, or leave well alone. Maybe I'm just being impatient.

Can anyone advise? Thanks, in advance.

TBH I'd just leave them. DD2 had quite unsightly warts on both hands about 5 years ago. She had them for over a year and we tried every trick in the book but nothing worked. In the end we gave up and left them alone - they eventually disappeared and have not returned.

Thanks TB. Anyone else out there with any advice for me? Horrible things (the warts). Just want to get rid of them once and for all......

Warts are viral and, unfortunately, tend to recur but GPs often run wart clinics with freezing treatments.

I had up to 20 at a time all over my hands as a child and, at 29, still have a couple.
