Hi
Just looking for a bit of advice, my daughter has been asked to do a 24 hour urine collection.

My dd is still wearing nappies at night so just wondering if anybody knows how I will collect that urine other than sitting up all night with a pot under her Hmm!!!

Thanks

dont know how you will manage this cos every drop is important. did they give you any guidance? they used to have sticky bags to collect urine for specimen but for 24 hours surely not?

maybe someone with up to date nursing will help. good luck anyway!

Yes the only thing I've seen used for samples is the urine collection bags that stick on or the pads that go in a nappy which you can syringe urine out of, but not very accurate. Maybe they could weigh the nappies if you keep them??

Thnaks, I havent been to pick up the specimen bottle yet, only got the forms yesterday, I will ask when I go to collect the bottle. Surely they must have something, it is only for night time as she is almost dry in the day.
